Service Updates & A Note From Me 

I wanted to take a moment to share a few important updates regarding my services and pricing, and to give you some clarity on recent changes you may have noticed while booking.

At the start of the year, I shared that there would be no general price increase, and that still stands true. However, as my business continues to grow, I noticed that a few services needed to be adjusted—not as an increase, but for clarity, fairness, and accuracy.

Why some services look different now

Over time, certain styles were being booked for purposes different from how they were originally intended.

For example, two-strand twists were originally offered specifically for twist-outs. Recently, many clients have been wearing them not for the purposes of a twist outs, but to wear as a style for several weeks. When twists are worn as a style, they often require:

• Blow-drying the hair - to stretch out hair, and give it a nice sleek look

• Smaller, more detailed sections - because you dont plan to take them out to show the twist pattern, and often smaller last longer. 

• More time and product 
  
  

To reflect that difference, I’ve now separated:

• Two-strand twists for twist-outs

• Two-strand twists worn as a style
  
  

This helps ensure you’re booking the service that best fits your expectations and receiving the proper time and care for your style. 

Natural hair braiding services update

I’ve also updated braiding options for natural hair. Instead of one general “men’s cornrow braids” option, I now offer:

• Basic cornrows (no design) - This doesn't mean your braids have to go straight back,  you can have a little curve,  a side part,  and middle part  ( like with pop smoke  braids), this just means, no hearts, no Criss cross, zigzags, stitches, etc.

• Men’s stitch braids -  This is for those those who like designs and the sleek stitch look, you can design them in  anyway that you would like.

• Cornrows w/  box braids or twists -  This for those of you who like the combination of both braids and individuals, very versatile and will last for weeks.

This change helps eliminate confusion for both of us and ensures you’re booking the style you’re looking for.

About pricing adjustments

A few services have had slight price adjustments after careful consideration. I realized that some of my prices—especially for styles that include shampoo and conditioning—were significantly lower than both industry standards and others in my immediate area. 

And while my ultimate goal is to provide the best service at the best price, I also have to be fair to myself, and so to continue offering quality work, proper prep— such as detangling, shampoo, etc.— and a great overall experience, these changes were necessary and helps me keep doing my best work for you! And let me just toot my own horn (and give you more reassurance), even with the changes, my prices are STILL the best in area! Don't believe me?? Look for yourself!
