It's summer time and I know a few of you will be jumping in SOME kind of water to cool down! But make sure you're still protecting your hair! If you're getting in the water, especially salt water, (like the ocean), pre soak your hair! Thoroughly rinse your hair with clean tap water or a spray bottle. This prevents your hair from absorbing excessive amounts of saltwater and chlorine or Apply oil or a leave-in conditioner to your hair before entering the pool. This creates a physical barrier between your hair and harmful chlorine.

I've been getting more and more beauties who are interested in keeping up with and sporting their natural tresses! And one of my favorite natural style to do is flat twist. Flat twist are two strand twist, but on the scalp, kind of like how cornrows are braids on the scalp, it's the same concept. It was my go to style when I first did my big chop, omg the curl definition and volume it gave to my TWA was too cute! But the gag is, it's perfect for all lengths, whether is a TWA or past your shoulders! It's definitely a hit, and never a miss!

It's not that I mind hearing from you, but my hands are usually busy creating beautiful styles, and I don't want you to miss out while waiting for me to respond.

Now on the the next subject, Ladies (and Gentlemen), I just want to remind you please do not show up with grease or oil of any kind! If moisture is an issue for you, neither one will remedy the situation! Deep condition your hair immediately before your braid install (make sure to rinse your conditioner out with room temp, or COOL Water - I prefer the latter- this help lock in the moisture ), and a LIGHT leave in conditioner is fine, but NEVER OIL! Also please NO HOODIES! Thanks in advance!!
